1. Cut string sized twice as long as desired bracelet length, with at least 6 inches for slack.
2. Fold string in half and tie a knot at the bottom (the 2 string ends side). This knot will prevent the beads from slipping off the string as you add beads.
3. Hold string and slide needle (V shaped) through looped string end. The knot should be at the opposite end of the string. The double wires of the needle should face upwards. Once the string is knotted and the needle is in place, you are ready to add beads.
4. You will be adding beads to the 2-pronged side of the needle. Run your fingers along the wires of the needle until they are aligned and together create a straight line.
5. Add beads.
6. Remove needle, but first slide your pinky finger into the bead string at the looped end that is threaded through the needle. You may need to slide the beads down to the knotted end of the string to make room for your finger at the looped end of the string. This finger will anchor the string of beads once the needle is removed.
7. Slide beads again, this time to where your finger anchors the string. Hold the loop end as you carefully remove your finger next.
8. After removing your finger from the looped end, hold the loop in place with one hand, and cut or untie the knot at the other end of the string. Bend the string into a circle so you can insert one of the strings from the knot end into the opposite string end with the loop.
9. Hold the 2 strings together from what used to be the knot end. Redistribute the beads toward the looped end so that there is no slack in the string.
10. Once the beads are distributed the way they should be in the finished bracelet, tie the 2 strings together in a simple knot. Then flip the beaded string and tie a double knot from the other side.
